ET was with Parton earlier this year for her pet gala variety special, where she opened up about her 78th birthday celebrations.

"I worked all day long," she shared. "I'm working on my Broadway musical that's gonna come out in '25, so I spent all day workin' on that with the girl I'm writing the script with, and then I sat down for supper and had a glass of champagne."

Parton also dished on starting her new line of frozen foods, and her favorite meal to whip up for date nights with her husband, Carl Dean.

"I stay in and cook some stuff he likes the best," she said. "The one I've always loved is chicken and dumplings."
