Two New 'Harry Potter' Books to Be Published This Fall

The books coincide with the opening of the British Library's upcoming 'Harry Potter' exhibition.

The Harry Potter saga continues!

British publishing house Bloomsbury announced on Tuesday that two new Harry Potter books will be released this October, coinciding with the opening of the the British Library's Harry Potter exhibition, "A History of Magic," which will be open from October 2017 to February 2018.

The first book, Harry Potter: A History of Magic -- The Book of the Exhibition, will explore the curriculum at Hogwarts, including Herbology, Astronomy and Care of Magical Creatures. The second book, Harry Potter -- A Journey Through a History of Magic, meanwhile, will explore mystical subjects like unicorns, alchemy and ancient witchcraft.

Both books, which will be released on Oct. 20 and are available for pre-order now, will include unseen sketches and manuscript pages from J.K. Rowling, illustrations from Jim Kay and artifacts from the archives at the library.

The British Library's "A History of Magic" exhibit celebrates the 20th anniversary of Rowling's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
