Kylie Jenner did say this was, like, her year of just realizing stuff -- and apparently what she realized is that she and Tyga are not meant to be.

The 18-year-old reality star and 26-year-old rapper have split, ET has confirmed. Kylie and Tyga were thought to have begun dating in 2014, when she was only 17, but never confirmed their relationship until after her 18th birthday in August.

"Kylie and Tyga are done. The back and forth breakups have happened so many times, but this time is for real," a source close to Kylie tells ET.

This isn't the first time the couple has gone their separate ways, and Kylie previously said that her fans get "too invested," so she doesn't want them to know "every time we fight or break up." So, what went wrong this time?

"They've broken up over lying, growing apart, family drama, etcetera," the source reveals. "This breakup was purely over the fact that they have outgrown each other and realized they weren't meant to be. At the end of the day, the relationship ran its course."

The source says the on-and-off couple has broken up at least 10 times in the past, but always got back together shortly afterward.

"Tyga was Kylie's first real, true adult love and she didn't want to let it go," we're told. "She tried really hard to make it work -- but she finally let it go. Kylie realizes Tyga is not the person for her."

Kylie hinted at her emotional state in a series of Snapchats on Wednesday night, revealing that she felt "vulnerable" and saying she didn't "know who Kylie Jenner is." That said, our source says she there are no hard feelings over the breakup.

"She does care about him and does love him. She wants nothing but the best for him," the source says. "She knows she'll see him around -- Kanye [West] and Scott [Disick] are friends with him and they run in the same circle. She's not bitter at all and is ready to move on with her life."

The silver lining? It certainly de-complicates the familial dynamics now that Rob Kardashian is expecting a baby with Tyga's ex, Blac Chyna. While Kylie and Chyna have apparently hugged and made up, there's a new Chymoji that looks suspiciously like the 28-year-old model slapping Kylie.
