The 41-year-old comedian split from the pop star after just 14 months of marriage.
Russell Brand wishes no ill will upon his ex-wife, Katy Perry.
In 2010, Brand married Perry in India, only to call it quits 14 months later. During a recent appearance on John Bishop: In Conversation With, the 41-year-old comedian said he "still feels very warm towards" his ex.
"I feel like, when I hear about her or see her, ‘Awe, there’s that person,'" he noted. "'There’s that person in the world.'"
Brand added that a lot of the problems in his marriage were due to his and Perry's demanding schedules. “The marriage didn’t last for a very long time and I think that is to do with the undulated nature of fame and that, living in those conditions and what was happening,” he said.
Both Perry and Brand have moved on since their divorce, with the Get Him to the Greek star welcoming his first child with girlfriend Laura Gallacher in November. Brand said he now has a "candid, plain, all-encompassing love" for his daughter. “Everybody deserves this love. The thing that’s been the most spectacular thing is my life is the most ordinary thing in my life," he gushed. "A baby came out, the same experience we all have."

“Now, I’m responsible for this human being," Brand continued. "This resource of love that you have in you is limitless and everybody is worthy of love.”
Perry -- who recently split from Orlando Bloom -- also spoke about her relationship with Brand in her 2012 documentary film, Part of Me. "Being in love is the dream," the 32-year-old pop star said. "And then the reality of making it work with the marriage is not like the movies.”
